Adriana Calcanhotto refazendo uma cena em que Gal Costa, para estudar a própria voz no início de sua carreira, utilizava uma grande panela que tinha ressonância, e fazia dentro do banheiro onde tinha eco, tampando o outro ouvido.

Adriana Calcanhotto faz referência a uma cena em que Gal Costa abre a camisa e deixa os seios à mostra para o público, durante a apresentação da música "Brasil", de Cazuza. "Estou adorando ser atriz. Mostrar meus seios foi uma postura política. Como uma arma!" - Afirmou Gal. O show aconteceu em 1994, no Teatro Imperator, no Rio de Janeiro. (O Globo).

“Coisas sagradas permanecem”. O verso de Caetano Veloso está em “Recanto escuro”, canção escrita para Gal Costa, sobre Gal Costa, para ser cantada pela voz de Gal Costa. A permanência do sagrado de Gal para além mesmo da morte é reafirmada agora por Adriana Calcanhotto. “Coisas sagradas permanecem” é o nome da turnê que ela estreia no dia 27 de abril, em Porto Alegre, em tributo à cantora baiana, a seu sagrado, à sua permanência.
O espetáculo nasceu a partir de uma ideia de Marcus Preto, produtor e diretor artístico de álbuns e shows de Gal nos últimos nove anos. Ele conta que a equipe de Gal manifestou o desejo de fazer uma homenagem a ela. “Um show com os mesmos músicos, mesma iluminadora, mesmo roadie…”, lembra o produtor. Quando pensou em que cantora poderia estar à frente do projeto, Adriana foi o nome que instantaneamente lhe veio à cabeça. “Como Gal, ela foi das raras artistas do Brasil que souberam fazer um trânsito fluente entre a vanguarda da música brasileira e os hits das rádios populares. Elas alcançaram lugares semelhantes, fosse cantando poetas como Waly Salomão, fosse chegando à massa pelas trilhas de novelas”, explica Marcus. “E Gal amava Adriana".
Adriana e Marcus assinam juntos a direção do espetáculo, que terá cenário concebido por Omar Salomão, filho de Waly. A banda traz músicos que tocaram com Gal em seus trabalhos mais recentes. Limma (teclados), Fabio Sá (baixo) e Vitor Cabral (bateria e percussões) integram o trio que acompanhou a cantora em sua última turnê, “As várias pontas de uma estrela”. Completa a formação Pedro Sá (guitarra e violão), que esteve com Gal na turnê “A pele do futuro”.
